Challenge: Results
Congratulations to Tammy, the winner of a crisp 5 dollar bill. She knew most of the songs and titles in my Favorite Lyrics Challenge
So here are the results:
1. Mary Jane’s Last Dance by the one-and-only Tom Petty. My favorite lyric is at 1:54 and 3:02 in the video.
2. Laid by James (Not Better than Ezra). My fav lyric is 35 seconds into the song. This video is whacked out but oh well, the song is fantastic.
3. Cha, Cha, Cha by Jimmy Luxury and the Tommy Rome Orchestra. Lyric hits at 2:29. I can not help but smile whenever this song comes on.
4. Clint Eastwood by The Gorillaz (even though the name Clint Eastwood is never mentioned in the song). My favorite lyric occurs at 2:46 in this video. Watch for the tribute to Michael Jackson just before my lyric.
So you can see I have quite a varied taste in music (and that doesn’t include my Marilyn Manson, Elvis and Roy Orbison), but honestly these are just 4 of the songs that I listen to EVERY weekday on my ride home from work… they just make me smile. I hope they put a smile on your face as well. If not, my next challenge will do just that.
This week’s challenge has to do with your high school yearbooks so get them out and be ready to relive the big moments! And I’m not talking about your mall hair.
