Man up, Archuleta!

Good God, I can’t take it. I know he’s young but really, could he please try to hold it together and quit shaking his head, licking his lips and looking as if he’s about to have a seizure every time he gets a compliment???  Davey, you can sing, drop the “OMG I’m so shocked” act! 

Okay so I’m bothered that David Cook did not perform as well as he could have last night… and yes, I will admit that Archuleta brought down the house.  I just think that Archuleta’s parents did him a disservice by -clearly- spending ALL of their time teaching him how to hold a tune and forgetting that he might need to know how to hold a conversation as well someday.  Well Mr. & Mr.s Archuleta, that day has arrived.  Your son is about to become the next American Idol but he won’t be able to even complete an interview.  Good luck with all that!

By the way, is no one going to congratulate me on my Miss Cleo skills? I totally predicted this final showdown on Idol in this post 2 months ago.

Just one more thing and then I’m letting it go… I wish sooooo much that David Cook would have performed this song on Idol.  Everytime, Jay and I watched Cook perform, I’d say “Why won’t he sing a 3 Doors Down tune?” and Jay would say “no he should be doing a Matchbox 20 song.” I just think this would’ve be a great fit for him.  David, call us if you need a manager… or two.
