Good God, I can’t take it. I know he’s young but really, could he please try to hold it together and quit shaking his head, licking his lips and looking as if he’s about to have a seizure every time he gets a compliment??? Davey, you can sing, drop the “OMG I’m so shocked” act!

Okay so I’m bothered that David Cook did not perform as well as he could have last night… and yes, I will admit that Archuleta brought down the house. I just think that Archuleta’s parents did him a disservice by -clearly- spending ALL of their time teaching him how to hold a tune and forgetting that he might need to know how to hold a conversation as well someday. Well Mr. & Mrs. Archuleta, that day has arrived. Your son is about to become the next American Idol but he won’t be able to even complete an interview. Good luck with all that!

By the way, is no one going to congratulate me on my Miss Cleo skills? I totally predicted this final showdown on Idol in this post 2 months ago.

Just one more thing and then I’m letting it go… I wish sooooo much that David Cook would have performed this song on Idol. Everytime, Jay and I watched Cook perform, I’d say “Why won’t he sing a 3 Doors Down tune?” and Jay would say “no he should be doing a Matchbox 20 song.” I just think this would’ve be a great fit for him. David, call us if you need a manager… or two.

Sorry about the late addition of this video but I just decided to see if Archuleta’s lip licking is as annoying as I think it is… I’m guessing that it must be since someone went to the trouble to edit this montage.

He’s by no means a favorite of mine, but I did enjoy hearing Jason Castro sing a song from my wedding.  Now let me just say that we used a custom version where I dropped the vocals during verses and brought them back up for the chorus… the Hallelujah part, that is.  I say this because there is a verse in there that wasn’t exactly appropriate for a wedding.  My favorite is the Rufus Wainwright version (yes, that is the one from Shrek).  We played it while we lit the untity candle and I loved it.  Here is Jason Castro singing it last night.

But of course, the David’s did it again.  David Cook was AWESOME… see Aysu, people do still say awesome (at least Tammy and I do). 

And let’s face it, unless he pisses America off somehow, David Archuleta will be in the final 2.   Here is my favorite performance by him so far.  (Not last night’s, but last week’s performance)

 I thought Luke Perry, I mean Menard, was dreadful last night.  Danny Noriega cracks me up doing a Manson version of Tainted Love (but I like him) and I still enjoy looking at Michael Johns and hearing that sexy accent of his. 

Tonight it’s the girls…  I’m sure Carley will be amazing, I hope that Ramiele will be amazing and we know Brooke will be a cutie patootie.
