I’ll write more about 3 Years Ago today when my youngest was born but today is her birthday and although we are on the beach vacationing, I just wanted to post a picture of her. (Clearly she thinks she is 4 instead of only 3 today. )

Maximus turned 8 yesterday and for a Great Dane this is a big landmark. One that I am not ready to accept. One of the first things people say to me when they find out that I have Great Danes is “wow, I’ve heard they don’t live that long.” Seriously???! [...]

And here's why...
I'm a mother of 2 daughters and 3 Great Danes (although I clearly did not give birth to them... they look nothing like me). I drive my husband nuts with my constant trips to the library and the extremely bright light I use to read in bed. I spent more than a decade in TV News so I'm just jaded enough to be fun at parties.
I'm now a freelance journalist and photographer who keeps waiting patiently by the phone for the producers of "Lost" to call me up for my dream job.... to rub sunscreen on Jack, Sawyer and Sayeed so they don't get burnt on that mysterious island.
I have alot to say and it isn't always nice so be ready for some smarmy, cynicism!
